The fixtures for the new football season have been announced, and by some bizarre co-incidence, it has been revealed that my beloved Aston Villa will be playing away at Portsmouth in the opening game, after Tim revealed only last night that he will casually support the Pompey boys now they are a Premiership team.
I aim to attend the match on the 16th of August, and may even seek to follow in Tim's footsteps by knocking off the hat of 'The world's biggest twat', and calling him 'a naughty word', as Tim so elequently put it.
Roll on the new season.

This has just been brought to my attention, from a Portsmouth website:
POMPEY kick off their Premiership campaign at Fratton Park on August 16, playing host to Aston Villa – the club that gave the Blues Paul Merson and Steve Stone.
But the Blues will really know they have arrived in the top flight when they visit Arsenal to face the likes of Pires and Henry on September 13.
What patronising bullshit! I for one believe that Portsmouth will 'really know they have arrived' when they get soundly thrashed by us. Poetic justice, it shall be.

Unlike Tim, I don't happen to think that John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood (real name; by deed poll) is a *****.
In fact, he's a rather nice bloke and lives at the end of my street. Oh yes, he's a bit of a tit when he's drunk (let's face it, who isn't?), but he's basically ok.
Nick his hat and be beset by a hoard of angered Pompey supporters.
