Sweet dreams can come true...
Congratulations to the masterminds behind a recent internet campaign to bring back the Wispa bar - thought consigned to history's confectionary dustbin back in 2003. Following "unprecedented" demand whipped up via Youtube and elsewhere, not to mention a bizarre "Bring Back Wispa" stage invasion during Iggy Pop's set at Glastonbury, Cadbury's have given way and announced that the long lost choccie bar will be back in stores from October 7th.
The cynical might believe the whole thing was cooked up by Cadbury's in the first place to drum up interest in their 80's born Aero-alternative, but they insist not - a Cadbury's spokesman told the Telegraph "We get letters about the Aztec bar and the lime barrel in the Dairy Milk tray. But this is on a whole different scale. This is the first time we are going to give the internet a chance to prove itself and see whether it is all hype or genuine." Bite it and believe it on the Register.
Now, if we could only get some other companies to reverse their decisions...

I lOVE Whispa bars - yummy!!

I never realised they were meant as a replacement. The bubbles in Aeros are much bigger and the chocolate just isn't as satisfying - i can't wait for a Wispa!

Aero is the competition I think, made by Rowntree Mackintosh. Or Nestle's as they insist on calling themselves these days (it's pronounced Nessals)...
