I can't do it. I don't even care that there's only three people reading this, I can't kill the site! I've been its sworn protector for far too long already. Facebook can swallow the rest of the internet, but it won't have boinng - not now, not ever.
So there's a new plan, and it's this - the site will still be going away for a while, it'll be getting a new coat of paint and will be having a good think about itself and its general behaviour, and then it will come back. It may well come back to an empty room, but it will be back nonetheless.
I'm not setting any dates for this - it might be tomorrow, it might be the day after, but it'll be soon - and for the rest of your life.

I've been wobbling for a little while though. Whatever happened I realised I couldn't bring myself to really pull the plug and delete the place, which meant I'd still be running it as an archive anyway, which meant there's no escape for anybody. It's an unstoppable force of nature. So instead of a pickled boinng, fossilised for the rest of time, the world will receive a freshly decorated better boinng. It might not notice, but I'll be happier..

I made myself stop browsing the internet for a while. Partly because I didn't have a computer at home and we are no longer allowed to browse the internet at work due to people being on Facebook more than doing their jobs. This site is unique.
