Really good idea turns Very Bad
Previously, I may have mistakenly suggested that bringing back the cult sci-fi classic Blakes 7, in the wake of Doctor Who's rebirth on the BBC, might have been a good idea. I may have erroneously led readers to be believe that the return of the classic BBC serial to our screens, with improved modern-day production values, was something I was quite keen on.
Following the distressing news that corporate rapscallion Sky Television have entered a deal with the owners of Blakes 7, to bring the series back in two TV specials for dastardly pay broadcaster Sky One, I now realise that trying to recapture the quintessential brilliance of the original series is severely misguided. Blakes 7 was very much of its time, and a remake would be both innapropriate and in poor taste. I condemn Sky One on yet another terrible programming choice, and look forward to the dismal failure of this tiresome re-treading of old ground.
I really hope the BBC have got copyright on the Liberator's design at least...

Oh dear...perhaps you could
Oh dear...perhaps you could find a way of acquiring the two TV specials without Sky's knowledge...
No, it's no good, they'd
No, it's no good, they'd still be tainted. Besides, they probably will genuinely be a bit rubbish after Sky's had a go at them.. Blakes 7 should be on the BBC, same as Doctor Who, not on nasty old Sky!
I bet they turn Blake american. And Avon into a girl.
I thought that everyone
I thought that everyone thought Blakes 7 was rubbish at the time and it's only people obsessed with nostalgia who like it now?
No, old Blakes 7 was good,
No, old Blakes 7 was good, it's only new Sky-made Blakes 7 that's bad! Everyone knows that...
.
