Though I do have a PS2 now, I plan on purchasing a PS3 when I can afford it or when the price comes down a little bit more. Therefore, my vote goes to PS3.

TBH, I'm not a gamer at all and I don't really have the money for video games either (or at least if I do, I'm happier spending it on other things - I think the prices of games these days is completely ludicrous) BUT, if I was to invest in one, it'd be a PS3, because it's bound to be the best. Plus it's got a Blu-ray player built in, which makes it a worthwhile investment just for that.

Having said all that, I quite like the idea of the Wii, and I like Nintendo's approach to gaming too (ie, it should be fun, rather than some kind of endurance challenge).

Wii all the way for me. Gonna get one as soon as I can justify it :/

The only worthwhile gaming system is a decent PC. Just playing Oblivion on my shiny new beast makes me cry - it's so pretty and lovely

The PS3 is way too expensive.

I'd rather not buy anything from Microsoft, unless it's way better than its competitors.

If I didn't have a console / had more free time, I'd get a Wii. I played on one in the Science Museum's Game On exhibition, and it's great!

However, I have a playstation2 in the flat. With a load of PS1 and PS2 games for it. I really like the co-operative mode that many games have nowadays. Me and my flatmate have spent hours playing our way through Star Wars Lego II together.
