Slightly "meh" about this
Slightly "meh" about this one. Some good dialogue, a little insight blah blah, but a few too many plot chasms and a lot of it just felt a bit familiar. "Jenny" was slightly annoying, and the whole ending was just a bit too cheesy, and a bit too obvious.
This one's split the LJ
This one's split the LJ community that I've seen. Some people loved it, some people hated it.
I really liked it. Plot holes a dozen, but they didn't crash my hovercraft. I suppose it helped that I watched it with a few other people so was a bit shouty.
Donna's discovery, was just the sort of thing I enjoy in a short SF story.
The "running" gag was great.
.
1) Also really liked it; right up until Jenny's last scene, which was just too cheesy and 'kid's spin-off' for me...
2) Simply couldn't love Donna any more at the moment if I tried, I'm really enjoying her.
3) Cried when Martha's Hath chum took one for the team, bless him.
Good stuff.
It was ok. Better than that
It was ok. Better than that bloody episode with Peter Kaye in or that one with Maureen Lipman.
I didn't understand why all the soldiers had to shout 'arhhhhhhhhhh' in a cornish accent everytime they did anything. I thought it was silly that we were expected to believe that not even one soldier would have survived seven days. Didn't get the Hath, how can a species evolve with metal and bubbly stuff attached to their faces?!
The whole thing reminded me of the Wrath of Khan and the Genesis business so i liked it for that, and the running joke and I really do like Donna.
I quite enjoyed it. I was
I quite enjoyed it. I was sort of hoping that the "Source" object would be a long-lost TARDIS and that Jenny would be allowed to keep it and go off on her own Time Lord adventures. But, oh well. I'd really dislike it if they turned her into another kid's spinoff, but I'm glad they didn't permanently kill her. Could have done without the shooting and subsequent revival, but oh well.
Can't believe it Tim. No
Can't believe it Tim. No random trivia? No pointing out that Jenny *is* the Doctors daughter. Well, the actress anyway. Namely, the fifth Doctor's daughter, Peter Davidson !
Lose 200 geek points, do not pass go, do not collect £200.
.
You could also say that she auditioned for the part of Rose too if you like!
Ner!
Oh and D, there's no 'D' in Davison!
What kind of fan are you!?
To be fair to Tim (or not as
To be fair to Tim (or not as the case may be!) that was pointed out to me at least 87 times when we watched the episode...
.
Do you not have a 'shut the fuck up' cushion?

Pfft, McCoy was my Doctor.

McCoy?? Ffs!!
Well, at least you didn't say Colin Baker.
Tom Baker and Peter Davison were my Doctors, so they should be yours too, being near the same age and all.
The McCoy years were truly appalling in every sense.
Besides, if you're gonna pick holes in other people's reviews, you need to be jolly bloody careful not to make such schoolboy errors as the Davison misspelling. I mean, really!
You're not a real fan, you're rubbish.
My sister's step daughter
My sister's step daughter was gutted that Dr Who had a daughter. She's only 7 and thinks she's Dr Who's daughter.
I once had a dream that I
I once had a dream that I was Jarvis Cockers daughter and woke up gutted as I've always fancied Jarvis Cocker - once i'd seen him in a fatherly light that put a stop to that crush!
Apparently David Tennant is
Apparently David Tennant is now bonking (thought I'd try and bring back the old 80's tabloid speak there) his own daughter - well that girl who is Peter Davison's daughter anyway. In real life I mean - not in some horrifically disturbing adult episode of Doctor Who...
Surely that has to play havoc with the space/time continuum somehow...
.
It's all kinds of wrong is that!!
But seriously, who can blame
But seriously, who can blame him?!?
.
Well, yes.......mmmm......
But that's not the bloody point!! It's just him being a Doctor Five fanboy!
Besides, he's MY Doctor!!
