Really had me captivated
Really had me captivated this week. A good ride.
Plus it had an evil genius blaming it all on the laughter of fools, a personal favourite trope.
More good stuff. Did anyone
More good stuff. I'm very fond of this season thus far, and believe the opener has been the weakest of them.
Did anyone else see the brief glimpse of Rose on the TARDIS communication screen?
Not until my flatmate
Not until my flatmate rewound the tape.

This was very good, a big
This was very good, a big big improvement on last week's, and saved the whole two-parter from the brink I think - the cloud over "The Sontaran Stratagem" lifted just as soon as Donna's mum started wielding a sledgehammer in the first scene, and it just got better from there. Good pace, good fun, and an excellent resolution to the whole story... the only feeble bit was when we were supposed to be feeling sorry for the Martha clone, which I didn't really get, but nevermind.
I really warmed to the Sontarans (who I didn't particularly remember from the classic series), I hope we'll see them again as regular returnees.

I enjoyed this episode MUCH more than the previous one. The only bits I didn't get were as Tim says, we were for some reason expected to feel sorry for the clone and the fire over the planet. I'm no planet expert but I reckon that fire over the whole planet would cause some badness!
Tim missed Rose, I made him rewind it!
Yes, my view of Rose was
Yes, my view of Rose was obscured by the salad I was chomping through at the time - hooray for hard disk recorders!
The fiery sky did seem like bad news for the environment, but I can forgive it for being such a good special effect
The Mill certainly excelled
The Mill certainly excelled themselves with the fire storm thingie - I was hoping for a nice breakdown of the effect on Confidential, but sadly I didn't get it. I'm assuming it was some clever particle and fractal noise stuff. Possibly some live action elements in there, too.

She was shouting "Doctor!".
And I got that in one! Ner.
Nice to be smug for once, 'citing.
I didn't like Donna's Mum 'till the sledgehammer! Woo!
