Life

Life. Don't talk to me about life.

How Do You Cope?

I've been working full time now for verging on 3mnths. Unlike the last time I worked I have a decent drive to and from work and get home fairly tired. The things I used to squeeze into my free time seem to be getting forgotten and it's annoying me. Anyone got tips on how to better manage stuff?

Pancakes and pledges

Any one doing anything for Shrove Tuesday or Lent?

I know someone who detoxed for lent, and I might give that a go, though not for the full length.

I'm having a few people over for (early) pancakes on Thursday.
Look away if you're on a diet.

Behold a new petersfield site has risen

I'm trying to kick a new site into life to celebrate the fabulous richness and diversity of the Petersfield life (www.myPetersfield.co.uk). Probably aimed at a rather more ageing hipster than this excellent site (that's certainly where it's coming from) but, I venture, perhaps worth a look anyway. Comments welcome, either through the site or here. When I get my links together, I'll certainly be referencing Boinng - maybe Boinng could return the favour (he wheedled)?

The Usual

So he texted Monday, asking if I was ok and offering puff (his usual excuse to contact me). Having no credit, I didn't reply. So he texted again, worried that I was ignoring him. I failed to call him from the home phone to reassure him.

He texted again, asking me to meet him in the pub after work. I didn't reply, I wanted him to fret. I arrived an hour after the time he'd requested I be there. He looked nervous and I looked hot (although stupidly thin) and also the fact that I had to leave for rehersal half an hour after my arrival meant things were on my terms.

We chatted and I went to rehersal.

It continues......

He came round this morning and couldn't get in because I'd locked the door. Dumped his key through the letterbox, along with the note I left with his stuff, unread.

Like a fool, I rang him and he just ranted at me for leaving his stuff outside, told me he'd given my dope to our mates in the next building and called me a worthless piece of shit (this is is favourite way of hurting me).

So I went round to our mates, after he'd left, to have a rant of my own.

Apparently he'd given no indication of having dumped me, but was in a total drunken mess last night (and the previous few) and had in fact decided to 'go and get barred from everywhere'!

Definitely single

Got a text from Gav this morning, asking me to sort his stuff out for him to pick up. I've left it outside the door because if I see him I'll fall apart completely.

So that's that then.

And I'm in bits.

Sick & possible single. :'(

Sick of being attacked by people I love every time I post even the most innocent comment, everywhere I go....

Looks like I'm single again.......(as of 17.29 5/10/06 I still have heard nowt to the contrary)

I'd be happier if I wasn't totally out of doobage and could stop crying.

Stars Earn Horrific Sums Of Money

RichesAccording to the Forbes Magazine, Steven Spielberg was the world's highest-earning celebrity last year earning £342 per minute. That's £180m last year ALONE.

In second place was DJ Howard Stern at £163 million!

Third was George Lucas on £127 million!

JK Rowling was the highest-ranked non-American, with Harry Potter earning her £78 per minute!!

Can you believe it? Steven Spielberg earns more in a couple of minutes than the majority of people earn in a week Shocked No wonder he looks so smug!! Eye-wink

Brixham ahoy

So we spent the last week in a cottage in Devon, in Brixham to be exact, which was nice. More than nice really, bloody lovely - the weather was absolutely perfect from beginning to end (right down to the sudden onslaught of rain during the drive home) and Devon was definitely on top form. Unfortunately we're back home now and apparently we both have to go to work or something, which sounds a bit rubbish.

Anyway, there's pictures in the gallery here - they're probably not fascinating to anyone else to be honest, but at least they'll give me something to look at in the office.
