Coffee - keeping it real

A new study has shown that the health-nut's favourite decaffeinated coffee is probably worse for you than real coffee, and can actually increase your risk of developing heart disease or diabetes. The US National Institute of Health study found that amongst their control groups, regular decaf drinkers had higher levels of "bad" cholesterol than those who either drank proper coffee, or no coffee at all - making them much more prone to longer term problems.

Giving Blood

My Chemistry teacher (Lisa, you may remember her) once offered her class a weeks extension on a piece of course work if we went and gave blood.

Ever since then I've been a sporadic doner. I keep forgetting to find the nearest place when I move house (from collage to uni to west London to North London).

The fact that it helps save lives, is enough to get over my fear of needles. I can't look left for the whole time I do it, and usually sit there curling and uncurling my toes (a distraction technique I got taught when I had my molar out).

Toothache

I've got toochache and it hurts. I can't swallow cos the pain is so bad and i'm scared i'm going to have to have all of my teeth taken out Sad

Boo hoo Sad
