I did indeed have a lovely day, well, weekend......

Friday night I went out with Gav, had a few beers and I did a bit of singing on the karaoke, as you do. We then went back to the 'Luxury Townhouse Apartment', as he jokingly likes to call it (because I don't live with him, I live out of the town centre, mine is 'The Country Residence'!) and spent a very relaxing evening eating junk food, watching trashy telly and suchlike.......

our house is officially ours. we've yet to spend a night in it, but we will soon!

I went along to the office of a friend of mine, supposedly to discuss a few days cash-in-hand data inputting.....

Which turned out to be THREE MONTHS proper paid work, with possible further employment thereafter!!

I start Monday.

i got a new job!!!

as of Monday, August 7, i will no longer be in the employ of my father's accounting firm, but rather in the employ of PrintProd, Inc, a custom tag maker. i'll be customer service/admin, taking orders from customers and typesetting their information onto tags for print. i'm excited to be moving into a paying position in a field i want to be in. i've been doing typesetting and graphic design for a while now with hubby's company, but as an unpaid intern (and loving every second of it -- i'd much rather do what i want to do all day for nothing than be paid for doing something i hate). a wage increase and the possibility of medical benefits round out the goodness of the new position.

I've got a bad foot, it's very bad.

I had a blister, accidently burst it (by accident with my fingernails accidently) then thought it would be a good idea as the blister was burst to get rid of the blister skin. So i chopped it off. with scissors. and now, the skin underneath isn't ready to come out and it's sore and tender. My mum told me to put tea tree oil on it which i did but it hurt a lot so i had to stand in the bath until it stopped hurting! and now, i am stuck with a giant dressing on it. But i am worried it will go gangrene and i will have to have it chopped off, which would be a waste of a)shoes and b) my toes as i can do a special cliky thing with my big toes!
