The Dull Factor?

I have two questions...
1) Is anyone watching X Factor this year?
2) Is anyone BORED TO DEATH BY THE WHOLE BLOODY HOURS LONG DULLARSE THING?

As you might be able to gather i am watching X Factor and i am bored of the whole bloody thing. All the people i thought were remotely good or entertaining have been knocked out and the people left are in want of a better word knobs.

Lets start with Ben. His small teeth just irritate the hell out of me. Along with his whiny irritating voice and face.

Ray. It's revolting. Seeing that thing writhing about makes me feel sick.

Leona. I cannot STAND her. From her ridiculous half wave to the fact that she bursts into irritating face trembling tears if anyone even looks her way. She must find walking down the street a nightmare.

I know i sound a bit extreme with my views but i feel i have invested a large amount of my life in X Factor this year and i feel cheated! That and the fact that i'm doing anything to avoid having to do a bit of preparation work that needs finishing today. Eye-wink

There was only ever one real

There was only ever one real star in this year's competition, and Robert went out weeks ago... it's just been a year when a lot of really boring and/or no-talent acts seem to have got all the hype, and the few decent contestants got given rubbish songs and no support... I'll never forget the ridiculous way the judges fawned over Ashley, when he was just a dull prima-donna with a weak voice and stupid hair - I mean, why? The public certainly didn't take to him. The fact that one-trick-pony Ray is still in the competition is just a mystery, I can only assume that's the Granny vote. Leona's the most irritating, simpering cretin they've ever had on, and Ben's just an arogant bore with a complete personality bypass. I still say Andy should have won last year tho, so what do I know Eye-wink

Robert!!

Robert's singing made the back of my neck tingle, he was wonderful.

Robert was, absolutely without question, the one who was going to win and that's why ruddy Simon got rid of him. He's been banging on about Ben being Leona's main competition, but he doesn't think that at all!! I mean, come on, how could he? Ben's ok, but he's clearly not going to beat Leona is he? She hasn't had a weak week yet! And the "She doesn't know how talented she is...", is wearing somewhat thin with me now.

Leona would be worthy of the title if only she'd stop being Mariah & Christina. She has true talent underneath the bad habits and I feel Simon has done her a great dis-service by not insisting that she be trained out of those habits!

Ben - He does have tiny teeth doesn't he?! He's good at what he's good at, but flounders a little without a piano or guitar to hide behind. Last week's Barry Manilow song was truly beautiful though.

The MacDonald Brothers totally did my head in for weeks, because they just would not fuck off!!!
But in the long run just, aww, bless! 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)' was great and so was their parting song because they suited them.

Ray - *shudder* He's like Plastic Boy brought to life and he's just a bit wrong somehow. Talented in his way and I liked his rendition of My Way, bless him. Should've taken the West End job though.

Eton Road - Just don't even get me started on Eton Road!! Wrong on so many levels. Louis truly didn't do any of his groups a favour this year with his song choices. Having said that, what could he possibly have done about Anthony?!

Ashley - He was beautiful, but never actually in tune!

In closing, I answer your questions Lisa.

1) Yes

2) Yes

Andy should indeed have won last year Tim and I for one shall be buying his album.

isn't it always the way ?

I thought it was common knowledge that these shows are never worth watching past the audition stage anyway? The longer they go on, the blander they get... it was ever thus.
Speaking as an older person (ahem) can I say that this season's Strictly Come Dancing is beyond dull too. Maybe all reality shows should be put out to grass (or shot in the head and tossed into the gutter) after two runs.
Side question: what's the point of Tess Daly?
