Yay, I got a DS, with Mario Kart and Sonic Rush for £115 from GAME. Anyone else got one? If not, WHY NOT?

Re:NINTENDO DS
I bought one on launch day and grew tired of it quickly, mind you I sold mine before Mario Kart so maybe I'd like it more now *shruggs* Either way I bought a PSP instead and much prefer it.
The touch screen is a nice addition and it's originality last for a while but then you wonder why the heck it's there? In many of the game manuals it touts it as a way of more precise control; so either I can't control a stylus or they're just talking poppycock. The only game I play lots of was Warioware and Mario the other games just suffered from the lack of graphical umpf on the DS. For example Ridge Racer is far better in all aspects on the PSP than the DS and I expect that to be the same with other games.
Don't get me wrong, if your always wanting the underdog or something that goes agains the grain the DS is perfect. But imho, if you want the best handhald gamer out there the PSP wins hands down. I'm glad you like it Alex but no amount of discussion will change my opinion that the DS is a bad move by Nintendo and unless the Gameboy micro does well or the original Gameboy keeps selling Nintendo could go the way of Sega and just do games.

It's in touch with original comedy, apparently.

I haven't got a DS, but I bought a GameCube the other week.
Mario is a big hero of mine.
