In the journal, you have a check box so that the post goes into the forum into a new section called 'Journals or something' so we can discuss it.
If the person does not want the journal discussed as such, they dont check the box.

tim's promised us he's going to work on the commenting on journals feature, which would seem sufficient for me...
I don't think a journal should automaticly link to a place in the forum... if you've got something on your mind you want to talk about you can do so in the "how the hell are you" forum, either about yourself, or about someone else('s journal)...
or there's always buddy to comment on someone's journal personally...

It wouldnt be automatic. The box would be unchecked by default, and have to be checked for the forum post to occur.
I just bringing the post into the forum would be easier than bringing the commenting into the journals.
