well it's an idea... upload scripts make me nervous though, lots of room for security issues and filling up the server etc... maybe someone can suggest a good bit of (php) code to nick?

ok, there's not /that/ many of us, how about having a space on the page for pictures, and we email you our picture and you decide if it's too big/pornographic or not and put it in the right space if it isn't? ;p

with php you can limit doctypes so that only pics ae uploaded

Linking to a picture as actually worse, as it wouldn't be hard to put a picture there that boinng wouldn't necessarily want to link to.
Tim, if you really want an upload / picture rejobbing script, let me know what version of PHP you want it written in (I'm assuming you want a PHP script. Python isn't a problem either) and I'll sort one out for you.

That bug testing took longer than I expected. Plus, it'll need some work to actually integrate it with boinng. It should, however, work no problem under imh (if you do have a problem, check that the 'uploads' subdirectory has the appropriate write permissions. I think it should have...)
[edit: now performing pointless tweaking and neatening. It'll be in a working state when I save it, honest.]
