Editing comments

Timmypops, is there any way to stop edited posts from moving up to the top and ruining the sequence of the thread!?
And why can't you edit previous posts after a while?

If you look at them threaded
If you look at them threaded in stead of (sp?) as a flat list, your edited comment does appear in the right place. Or something.
oh, well that's alright
oh, well that's alright then.
I really should steer clear of asking questions like that. i always end up making myself look like i know nothing whatsoever! lol
now why would you say that?
now why would you say that? If you hadn't made this post, I would have
Because I noticed your edited post being at a weird spot myself, and then I remembered Tim always has his comments threaded (or at least he used to), so to clear things up for him I made my comment

Still waiting for an official webmaster-reply though
But now you've said it I
But now you've said it I realise how bloody obvious it was in the first place! lol
Please don't bother to reply Tim, I know you're bashing your head on the keyboard!
To be honest, I really
To be honest, I really didn't know either of those things happened - since I'm admin it lets me edit anything, no matter how old, and I assumed it was the same for the rest of you (tho only your own posts, obviously..)
Didn't know about edited posts rising to the top either, since I use the threaded setting... that's a bit odd too. Hmm.

You assumed wrong.

And now I can't delete a comment that I put in the wrong place!! How annoying.
That'll teach you for being
That'll teach you for being so untidy then, won't it! Seriously, ok I assumed wrong, but it's very odd that Drupal has this feature and I never noticed it before. There doesn't seem to be anything I can change (or even look at) on my side, like a setting for how many days people get to edit, or anything like that, which is very un-drupal like. I don't like it much myself, but there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it, short of hacking into things (which I really don't want to do because, unlike the old site, this one may as well be written in greek for all the sense it makes to me...)
