ebay challenge

Some very long time ago, Tim posted something saying we could challange him to find whatever we come up with on ebay. I'm talking years ago so I couldn't be bothered looking it up.
Anyways I have something now I really really want and can't find :
The dvd series of "La femma Nikita", http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_(TV_series) - all 5 seasons, and with the dvd's playable here in Belgium. Because I've been looking with Oliver and we could only find dvd's for america 
and then i once saw this (american) 5-in-1 box and now i can't find that either 
And I so want to have this! Even if it costs me all my savings money

Well, the release dates for
Well, the release dates for that show are TBD on Wiki - ie To Be Determined. Looks like they aren't even released yet. Don't worry though, it only took 20 years to release MacGyver boxed set DVD's.

Apparently, most DVD players are inherently multi-regional, and just have a setting to stop other regions disks playing on them. This page shows you how to change that setting (without opening the player up and knackering your warranty), and make it multi-regional.
Best I can come up with I'm afraid - I did it once on an old player of mine, and yes, it did work !!

I had no idea they had different release dates for different regions! I hardly ever buy dvd's actually, it's just that i loved these series so much. When watching 24 it all comes back to me, as some of the actors are the same, the idea behind is similar, i believe there's one guy who's been involved in the making of both these shows...
Still I think Nikita was better than 24 is
but anyway i'll just start hoping they will release it some day

That would be one of the two main reason why they created DVD region coding - the other being so that they can sell the DVDs at different prices in different regions and not have to worry about people in places where they charge more buying cheaper foreign discs. The whole region coding system is designed for the benefit of the studios, to (mainly) help them screw us out of as much cash as possible. And so most players incude not-very-well hidden (& unsupported) region hacks.
