Confused by Boince thievery!

Where does it say you get Boince taken off you and awarded to the author of a story??!
I just commented on the latest front page news, got my 2 Boince, then edited it and lost those 2 Boince, which were then awarded to Tim!!
My first opportunity to post here in ages and I get robbed! Humph.

you don't really want an

I mean I could ask the site why it did that, but it's answer might end up revealing some of the mysterious alien logic that makes it tick, and the next thing you know it's entire diabolical scheme for world domination might be revealed. Better to live in blissful ignorance, surely?

Or it could be that they all go to Tim, I'm not sure, since I've only recently edited comments in threads started by Tim!
