Comments/Posts
I mentioned this to Tim earlier today, but im going to post it in here for a couple reasons:
1. To make it official
2. To increase my post count
3. To let the others know, they may have a better idea
I think the comments we make on the site should count toward our post count. There is technically no difference between the two, except for location. So, i think they should both count for the same thing.
This is all part of my plan to bring all parts of the site together into one big glop. Ok, maybe glop is a bad word to use...
But this way, 10 years down the road when Tim gets sued and is forced to remove his forum for being a website monopoly trying to taking over the internet - he wont be able to, because its all one big glop!

I'm working towards glop myself; glop is my goal for this site.
After looking at how the database does this sort of thing, I've discovered it would be easy enough to make new comments count towards user's post counts, but adding in all the existing posts is going to take some more thought/time. Still working on this one...

dearest andy, if you're concerned about your amount of posts, you should POST MORE IN THE FORUM
that said, it's a good idea, and i'm surprised you could actually make it work tim, 'cause i would have thought it wouldnt be that easy. then again i do not know anything about having your own site / forum

hey tim, have you fixed the "edited by" thing? when you edit twice, the first edit magicly disappears. good thinking, 'cause i (as well as everybody else, presumably) used to delete the first edit myself anyway...

the edit thing is nearly tame now, i just need to sort the time out. and it'd be nice if the preview worked, but that's getting into the realms of fantasy..
