The Diana Memorial

Diana: Dead.

Princess of Hamsters
1999 - 1999

Goodbye Wriggle Nose
May your alfafa
grow in our hearts.
Yours was the face that looked at me
From out of your little bars.
And talked to me in a special voice,
No matter what the counsellor says.
Now you belong to heaven,
And with the stars you play.
And it seems to me you
lived your life
Like you never liked your cage:
It never faded with the onset
Of that little touch of mange.
And your footsteps will always fall there,
Between the daisies and the clover-
Your candle burned out long before
I could stop the lawnmower.
