In August 2000, I started writing a serial adventure for Boinng in the guise of a genuine Diary-x.com journal, with each new installment forming a new diary entry in the blog.

It was never finished, and like an idiot I never saved a local copy of any of it. Predictably Diary-x deleted it without much warning not long after, before eventually going completely tits up years later (see Codexed.com for the remains). All that's left of "The Captain's Log: Mission to Boinng" is a few scraps taken from the Internet Archive - sadly not every episode - which I'm copying down here before they delete that as well.

We're T minus 1 hour from launch, and already I'm getting really hot in this suit. Everytime I move to flick a switch or whatever, I can feel my arse sticking to the bucket seat. They made the thing out of some synthetic stuff of course, so it squeaks as well. I hate that. I wonder if it's too late to get a drink.
