All was seemingly normal, with his co-workers never realising the hero they had in their midst.

It was a cloudy morning in the sleepy town of Johnsfield, as Ciderman began his normal Saturday ritual to prepare for the weekend of sobriety-fighting. Careful not to even glance at the clock before noon, he carefully managed to avoid waking up even when his unknowing sister tried to rouse him by playing the Spice Girls two inches from his ear.

Ciderman has been dragged into the past, to what appears to be the Old West in America. After solving the immediate crisis of having no cider handy, the sounds of what could be his worst enemy yet are heard in the distance. The Temperance League, enemies of booze and drunkeness everywhere.

Glancing round the bar, the other drinkers were in a similar state, although some sharp thinking individuals were downing their drinks and then gently removing and drinking those of their catatonic associates.
