Whip Crack Away!
I found out I'd got the part of Calamity Jane at 11pm, having auditioned at 8pm! (I love that the secretary of our society is a friend, or I'd've had to wait 'till much later today!)
I didn't properly read the e-mail, stating the cast list, at first, so I didn't see that it said...
.."You are Calamity Jane."
at the top......
Then, re-reading more carefully, I got the point and yelled, "WAAHAAAAAAAGGHH!!", rather loudly, as one would in such a situation. Mum came rushing upstairs to congratulate me and my poor, neurotic, cat went rushing downstairs to hide in the living room!
She's now situated behind my bed, still not convinced that there's not a monster coming to get her, despite many reassurances!
No, not Mother, the cat.
But still, YAY!!

Rehearsals aren't going too bad thanks, except for the chorus, they're even more hopeless than usual! I could cheerfully shoot 'em all!
