Wot I dun on me Birfday. By Jayne, aGeD 34
Submitted by Jayne on Tue, 19/02/2008 - 00:51.Thank you to all that have, or will have wished me well, either here or by text. As ever I have no credit, even today! ![]()
I did indeed have a lovely day, well, weekend......
Friday night I went out with Gav, had a few beers and I did a bit of singing on the karaoke, as you do. We then went back to the 'Luxury Townhouse Apartment', as he jokingly likes to call it (because I don't live with him, I live out of the town centre, mine is 'The Country Residence'!) and spent a very relaxing evening eating junk food, watching trashy telly and suchlike.......
Whip Crack Away!
Submitted by Jayne on Tue, 29/01/2008 - 00:28.I found out I'd got the part of Calamity Jane at 11pm, having auditioned at 8pm! (I love that the secretary of our society is a friend, or I'd've had to wait 'till much later today!)
I didn't properly read the e-mail, stating the cast list, at first, so I didn't see that it said...
.."You are Calamity Jane."
at the top......
Then, re-reading more carefully, I got the point and yelled, "WAAHAAAAAAAGGHH!!", rather loudly, as one would in such a situation. Mum came rushing upstairs to congratulate me and my poor, neurotic, cat went rushing downstairs to hide in the living room!
It all comes back to this...
Submitted by Jayne on Thu, 17/01/2008 - 01:53.Just one last then, to let you all know how it's going so far.
I've been living with Mum since November 27th and I don't quite feel settled yet. I need a blind that stops the 5 street lights, all placed within mere feet of one another, from keeping me awake most night for starters!
Dolly is absolutely loving watching all the different birds that come into our garden to the numerous feeders Mum has out. I'm loving watching them too, as a matter of fact it's been ages since I had a garden.
I'm moving house tomorrow
Submitted by Jayne on Mon, 26/11/2007 - 15:14.Dolly has already relocated and I'm left with empty furniture, the telly etc., and Bagpuss (the pc).
Final move begins at 9am tomorrow then it's all done and did.
Oi!! I said "Big changes". Bollocks to yer then!
Submitted by Jayne on Thu, 25/10/2007 - 09:30.So Mum's live-in fella of 3 years has just left her for a 30-year-old frump! Frankly, I expected him to fuck up, he's been incapable of sustaining any relationship ever, was on the rebound when he re-met Mum 3 years back and he's a heavy drinker (which he covers pretty well apart from the shaking). Mum's pretty devastated, but well shot of him. I'm absolutely fucking livid.
Matt Willis kissed me!
Submitted by Jayne on Tue, 04/09/2007 - 22:32.I won Matt Willis' bass guitar from the 'Sleeping with the Light On' vid! Charity auction for Children with Leukaemia.
Spent a large part of Saturday evening with him, for the presentation and party, in his local, having absolutely the best time I've had in a long time. What a truly smashing bloke, I was not disappointed.
Details have been omitted to protect the innocent (i.e. me!).
Gavisgone
Submitted by Jayne on Sat, 21/07/2007 - 23:57.I know you're sick of hearing this but.....
It's over. Gav 'n Jayne are no more.....details follow.
Firstly, I need to point out that I haven't really mentioned Gav lately because I've been trying to pretend for 9 months that it wasn't fading and fizzling and all the other f-words.
I've been poorly with guts again this week and he's not even called or texted me to see if I'm ok, or even just because he's (was) my fella! I've been calling him every evening just to let him know I wouldn't be out.
Birthday
Submitted by Jayne on Wed, 21/02/2007 - 19:01.It was my birthday on Sunday.
Only one friend remembered.
Now I feel like Tim.
Internet/computer dunce requires help!!!
Submitted by Jayne on Sun, 04/02/2007 - 02:23.Will somebody please tell me what to do about enabling my ssl protocols?? I keep getting error messages saying things like 'Firefox couldn't securely open (eg) myspace because ssl protocols have been disabled'.
Now, I wasn't aware that
a) I had disabled them
b) They were there in the first place!
How could I have disabled something when I make a point of never changing anything, just in case!?
I don't know what they are, what they do, or why I suddenly have a problem.
I HAVE A JOB!!!
Submitted by Jayne on Wed, 24/01/2007 - 16:40.I went along to the office of a friend of mine, supposedly to discuss a few days cash-in-hand data inputting.....
Which turned out to be THREE MONTHS proper paid work, with possible further employment thereafter!!
I start Monday.
I'm just a wee bit gobsmacked and kinda in shock!
Hee!
