I'm back baby

I disappeared from here about 6 months ago, and the reason why is a little odd, so I thought I'd explain it.

Basically I'm a completist. I like to have the full set of something. So I buy the third book in a trilogy, even if I wasn't too sure about the second. I read the full archives of webcomics, before I add them to my daily trawl. If I get a hole in Wednesday, from the day-of-the-week socks I got for Christmas, I'll probably throw the whole lot out.

Karma Army

I bumped into a cult gathering in the pub a couple of weeks ago. I'm off to join them tomorrow.

Wish me luck!

Dr Who at Eastercon

I went to Eastercon, the BSFA's annual convention over the week and I'm too busy to try and write up a report on it now. I just had to say that watching a Shakespeare themed episode of Dr. Who, with a room of a couple of hundred geeks was a great experience.

I was told that Eastercon 2005 was even more incredible, when Rose was shown to a several hundred people who'd been waiting years for a new Dr Who. Apparently the cheer when the sonic screwdriver was used was almost deafening.

Weird Weather

Sitting up here, on the 25th.
In the middle of a blizzard.
Quite odd really.

Broke up while I wrote that.

Clear skys off to the west.
Sunbeams on Wembley.
Planes glowing on the approach to Heathrow.

Hope the Weather's fun where you are.

You Make

A little more about the You Make this comic project. It's not too late to sign up.

So far around 300 people have signed up to write, and around 80 to draw. So about twice a yeah each writer will be asked to write the next page. The rest of the year, you can vote for which page you think is best.

The genre has been picked as Science Fiction.

Currently you can vote for the name of the strip. ( I think option 45 is good, not that I'm biased Eye-wink )

So very drunk

So, a little bit about me.

Since the age of 11 (or so) I've been a physics geek at heart (ask Lisa'a mum).

At uni I kind of fell into societieys and didnt't get the grade I could have, so couldn't do a PhD.
